Lipid Lowering Therapy

As you may know, the amount of cholesterol in your blood can increase your risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD) which includes heart attack, stroke and peripheral vascular disease. NHS guidelines advise patients with pre-existing conditions like reduced kidney function, coronary heart disease, peripheral arterial disease or history of stroke /heart attack would benefit from taking a lipid lowering medication or by having the dose optimised. In order to manage your health you can either take a lipid lowering medication or make life style changes.
